Gigabot 2: Notes 1 is the first in a four-part collection of NES-style 8-bit sample instruments inspired by the music of Mega Man 2, capturing the bright melodies, energetic rhythms, and classic action-platformer character of its iconic soundtrack.
This pack focuses on the musical style of the Bubble Man and Quick Man stages, drawing from the flowing, water feel of Bubble Man’s music and the fast, urgent intensity of Quick Man’s theme. It includes expressive leads, solid bass instruments, and short stab patches, along with a selection of 8-bit drum sounds for rhythmic backing.

The instruments in this pack use the full range of waveform types and pulse widths associated with the original hardware, and include many of the most common lead approaches (clean, chorus-style, and vibrato) as well as a variety of stab types (single hits, overlapping layers, and pseudo-delay styles). Along with the snare drums and hi-hats, there are numerous tom sounds available, using both pulse waves and triangle waves (and this approach is consistent across all four packs in this series).
