Daedalus: SFX
Daedalus: SFX is a collection of NES-style sound effects inspired by Kid Icarus, capturing the sonic character of its platforming combat, enemies, and environments.
The sounds in this pack focus on classic 8-bit gameplay such as arrow shots, impact hits, enemy damage and death effects, and distinctive miniboss screams. It also includes familiar utility sounds like health pickups, power-ups, and other iconic in-game effects… and eggplants.
Each sound effect is provided with several closely related variations, giving you alternate sounds that keep the same character and function. All sounds are created from scratch using original synthesis and sound design techniques, capturing the character of the original hardware without sampling or copying any game audio.

Many of the sound effects in this pack feature rapid melodic pitch changes, creating either a wobbly, unstable tone or a tight, staccato, drill-like character. Other effects rely on noise synthesis to produce classic 8-bit shooting, thrusting, and impact sounds commonly heard in NES-era action games.
