Daedalus: Notes is a collection of NES-style sample instruments inspired by Kid Icarus, recreating the melodic instrument palette and rhythmic character heard throughout the game’s soundtrack. This pack is designed for adventurous melodies, rising themes, and darker, atmospheric passages, featuring bright pulse-wave leads, agile melodic stabs, and solid triangle-style basses, along with a small set of noise-synthesized kick and snare drum samples for simple rhythmic additions.

The instruments in this pack are built primarily around classic NES-style square wave synthesis, with much of the variation coming from differences in attack shape, ranging from soft and gradual onsets to sharp, immediate hits. The stab instrument and bass both use the triangle waveform, providing a solid low-end foundation and short, focused tonal accents.
The kick and snare drums are created using simple noise synthesis, with the kick defined by its extremely short duration to distinguish it clearly from the snare.
