Overworld Adventures: SFX
This pack has many 8-bit melee sound effect samples like sword swinging, hitting and deflecting, plus the results of those actions like enemy damage and killing, and other related sounds like battle starting, casting spells, boomerangs and fire. It also has some miscellaneous sounds like flute mini-melodies, fairies appearing, and elevators.
Each sound effect has a selection of variation samples that provide alternative sounds but are similar in character and function.

A great number of the sound effect samples in this pack use a type of continuous frequency sweep that acts like tiny rapid-fire pitch bends and gives the sounds a buzzing or vibrating type of effect. There are also several 'mini-melody' sounds that are each variations on a theme, plus other sounds that use frequency-shifting noise synthesis.
