Vampire Lasher: Notes is a collection of NES-style 8-bit sample instruments inspired by the music of the original Castlevania. This pack is built for composing dramatic, forward-driving castle themes that balance gothic tension with heroic determination. Write bold, adventurous melodies as you ascend through Dracula’s halls, shift into darker, more suspenseful passages as the challenge intensifies, and lean into baroque-inspired phrasing when facing miniboss encounters. The instruments capture the sharp leads and rhythmic stabs that define the series’ iconic blend of action and atmosphere.

Many of the lead instrument samples feature a quick decay before the sustain portion, giving them a subtly plucked, harpsichord-like character well suited to gothic melodies. Half of the lead instruments also use doubled waves to add a chorus effect. The snare and hi-hat drum samples are created from noise, with alternate versions included for rapid sequencing.
