Solid Infiltration: Notes is a collection of NES-style 8-bit sample instruments inspired by the music of the original Metal Gear. This pack is built for writing tense, mission-driven music that moves between quiet infiltration and sudden, high-energy action. The sounds support stealthy, rhythmic writing for sneaking past guards, as well as sharper, more aggressive tones for fast-paced encounters and combat situations. The pack includes expressive leads and stabs, solid bass, and a set of 8-bit drum samples for driving rhythms.

This pack’s lead instruments make use of all three pulse widths available on the original hardware, with half of the leads employing a wave-doubling technique to create a chorus-like effect. One of these leads, along with a dedicated stab instrument, also uses octave doubling to produce a fuller, thicker tone.
The kick drum samples are based on four recorded acoustic kick hits that were processed and edited to closely resemble the original kick sound. The snare and hi-hat samples are created entirely from noise synthesis and include alternate variations, making them well suited for rapid, repeating patterns.
