Grappling Man: Notes 2 is the second pack in a two-part collection of NES-style 8-bit sample instruments inspired by the music of Bionic Commando, expanding the sound palette into more atmospheric and tension-driven territory. This pack reflects the instrument sounds in the later stages of the game, where the music takes on a more focused and uneasy character. It features more vibrato-rich lead instruments, short accenting stabs, and military-like snare roll samples, designed for more ethereal, suspenseful 8-bit action tracks.

As with the first pack, most of the lead instruments in this set feature built-in vibrato at varying speeds. The samples make use of the full range of pulse widths and triangle wave types available on the original hardware, providing a broad tonal variety. Additional short noise-based snare samples are included for military-style drum patterns, along with a looped snare roll sample designed for sustained use.
