Fight up close and personal with 8-Bit Melee, a collection of classic NES-style melee combat sound effects. This pack delivers the full arsenal of retro close-range weapons, including swishing swords, stabbing daggers, heavy clubs, swinging axes, and cracking whips.

The samples are organized into seven melee categories:

  • Swords – swings, swishes, thrusts, and stab sounds
  • Blunt Heavy – large clubs and hammers with big, low-toned hits
  • Blunt Light – bats, batons, and maces with quick, direct whacks
  • Daggers & Knives – quick high-pitched swings and fast in-and-out stabs
  • Axes – slower, weightier impacts with harder-hitting finishes
  • Whips – two-part snaps with a short pull-back followed by an extended crack
  • Melee Misc – assorted close-combat hits and weapon variations
