Arpeggios are a core part of chiptune music, and the 8-Bit Arpeggios pack delivers the ultimate collection of NES-style 8-bit instruments and samples covering all essential arpeggio types:

Each instrument includes two patches—one for sustained notes and one for stabs. Both use the same samples but feature distinct volume envelopes, which can be easily adjusted in your sampler or DAW.

To capture the precise timing of authentic 8-bit arpeggios, every note has been individually sampled. The result is over 5,000 samples across 72 instruments, making the library just over 1 GB in size.

More Sound Info
Due to the limitations of early sound chips, arpeggios were often used as a substitute for chords. With only three tracks available for melodic notes, composers needed to simulate chords while still having a melodic lead on one track and a bass line on another. To achieve this, they used fast arpeggios to 'trick' the brain into perceiving chords. Since these weren’t true chords—where multiple notes are played simultaneously—arpeggios also added movement and energy to the music, making them popular to use in compositions for games.
